ANZ NZ has reported a hefty gain in full-year statutory profit on the back of a favourable turnaround in economic hedges.The lender also flagged economic green shoots in the New Zealand economy.For the year to end-September 2025, ANZ NZ posted a statutory net profit after tax of $2.53 billion, up 21% from $2.09b a year previously.The swing – totalling $441 million – came after ANZ NZ booked a $163m economic-hedge gain in the just-finished period, after a $195m loss in the year before.Economic hedges are used to manage interest rate...
