A High Court judge has found the Chief Ombudsman made a decision over the use of his office's name incorrectly and ordered the process be redone by another ombudsman.In effect, Peter Boshier has been caught out doing one thing the ombudsman was established to police - predetermining the outcome of a decision and not undergoing a proper process.Boshier, who has been chief of the independent watchdog since 2015, is playing down the ruling, saying it concerned an “administrative decision” quite distinct from his usual job.The High...
