A company the Takeovers Panel is investigating went from having 61 shareholders to 47 and then back to 53 on key dates the panel is looking at, according to Companies Office records.Its number of shares on issue also jumped 7.8 times between the two key dates, suggesting some major transaction occurred that altered control.A company comes under the Takeovers Panel's jurisdiction if it has 50 or more shareholders.The panel said late on Friday it had decided to convene a meeting to inquire into "certain increases of voting control"...
