Refining NZ plans to shed a quarter of its employees as part of a plan to simplify the operation at Marsden Point and maintain its current reduced production throughout 2021.The company has been running the plant at reduced throughput since the pandemic slashed global fuel demand – especially jet fuel - earlier this year, reducing the profitability of refineries worldwide.Today the company said about 100 jobs will be lost under the proposal to continue running the operation at about 90,000 barrels of crude oil a day, compared with its cap...
