Amazon Web Services has officially launched its long-promised set of datacentres, something it is billing as the largest global technology spend ever publicly announced in the country.The company launched its Amazon Web Services (AWS) Asia Pacific (New Zealand) region on Tuesday, a network of datacentres that country manager Manuel Bohnet is calling "the largest publicly-announced global technology investment the country has ever seen".Bohnet said the AWS NZ region would consist of three “availability zones” – cluste...
