Beach Energy has delayed its planned drilling off the North Otago coast amid a global slowdown in industry spending and as covid-19 border controls restrict international movement of specialist tradespeople. The firm, currently seeking consents from the Environmental Protection Authority for the programme, now expects the drilling to take place in the third quarter of 2021.
