The government has confirmed that city and regional deals will be finalised come 2025.A cabinet paper released on the Treasury website said a deal framework, setting out how involved the crown would be, is in the works.That framework and standard governance arrangements will be presented for cabinet endorsement by July.After that, an endorsement to initiate negotiations with local councils will be sought by the end of 2024, with the first deals set to be formalised the following year.Speaking at a conference hosted by advocacy group Local Gover...
