Hiringa Energy expects to have 20 hydrogen-powered trucks operating in New Zealand next year under a heads of agreement with US-based manufacturer Hyzon Motors.The electric trucks, powered with hydrogen fuel cells, will have a similar weight and power output to conventional diesel trucks and a driving distance of up to 500 kilometres.The roll-out includes an initial test phase with the first trucks due in early 2021, the companies said in a joint statement.
