There are more headaches for freight and shipping companies as a covid case at KiwiRail’s freight hub in Auckland has slowed container movements to a trickle just as volumes ramp up ahead of Christmas.Fifteen staff at the Southdown container terminal at Neilson St, Onehunga, are now isolating at home after a contractor was confirmed as being covid-positive on Friday night. None of the workers, deemed as casual-plus contacts, tested positive in their first test but they will be tested again today, KiwiRail said in a note to clients.Al...
