Transport officials have released high-level cost estimates for 14 major roading projects, confirming figures leaked to the media several months ago.The New Zealand Herald reported in February on a document prepared by the NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) last year to inform work on the Government Policy Statement on Land Transport (GPS) being undertaken by the Ministry of Transport.The leaked costings, which were updated for inflation, indicated that 17 roading and public transport projects could cost between $30.9 billion and $46.6b – as...
