The governance group overseeing the delayed national ticketing system has until July to deliver an independent review and improvement plan to ministers.In 2022, the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) entered into a $474.2 million contract with defence and transport contractor Cubic Corporation to deliver a nationwide payment system for public transport, with commuters able to use a Motu Move card or their credit/debit cards to pay for buses, trains and ferries anywhere in NZ.The total cost of the system was put at $1.4 billion to $1.5b over 15...
