Vector, Amazon eye global potential of new platform
The new energy data platform being developed by Vector and Amazon Web Services is a “significant investment” for both firms but one that will have global applications, Vector chief executive Simon Mackenzie says.
While the venture is initially targeting the Australian and New Zealand markets for new electricity and gas services from 2021, the themes driving toward decarbonisation, real-time control of energy use and the greater network responsiveness are global, he said.
