New Zealand Oil & Gas expects the Ironbark venture off Western Australia to get underway next month.The BP-led project is planning to drill a well about 170 kilometres off the coast to test the prospect, which lies about 50 kilometres north of the giant North West Shelf LNG development in the Carnarvon Basin. Ironbark’s gas reserves are estimated at 15 trillion cubic feet, based on a best-case technical assessment.
