Kiwi consumers expect higher prices; farmers happier

Inflationary pressures are creeping up, with the latest ANZ-Roy Morgan consumer confidence index showing people expect prices to rise at a faster pace.Farmers, meanwhile, are feeling more upbeat with the latest Federated Farmers survey showing the greatest optimism since the Labour-led coalition government was formed in late 2017. The 998 people surveyed by ANZ expect annual consumer inflation of 3.7 percent over the next two years, up from 3.1 percent in the prior survey.
