A Wellington accountant found liable for serious professional misconduct suffered a legal setback after her appeal was deemed an abuse of the court process. Sandy Dai was admitted to provisional membership of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) in 2007 and became a full member of the College of Chartered Accountants in 2009, according to a ruling against her. She obtained a certificate of public practice in May 2019 while she was operating her own company, Synergy Accounting.‘Particularly egregious&rs...
