Bathurst Resources has won a long-running legal battle with L&M Coal Holdings over payments related to the sale of a much troubled coal mine.A majority of a five-strong bench on the supreme court ruled Bathurst could indefinitely defer a US$40 million performance payment to L&M under the contract both companies signed over the purchase of mining permits on the West Coast.The judgment overturns rulings in the high court and court of appeal and awarded $30,000 costs to Bathurst for the supreme court case and said costs awarded in the lowe...
