A group of local body authorities is putting the new government on notice that it wants a collaborative approach to water services instead of a top-down one.The Communities 4 Local Democracy (C4LD) group of 30 councils has welcomed a commitment by the new government to repeal the Water Services Entities Act and stop work on it. Its member councils were happy with the government’s pledge to ensure Three Waters assets remained in local ownership and local control.
