Mainzeal's liquidator Andrew Bethell is taking the opportunity to cross-appeal the case in the supreme court.The court of appeal in March ruled broadly in the liquidator’s favour when it said Richard Yan and three other directors including former prime minister Jenny Shipley were liable for breaching the Companies Act.However, the appeal court made the liability findings on different grounds than the high court did.Since then, directors Shipley, Yan, Clive Tilby and Peter Gomm applied to the supreme court for an appeal.Liquidator...
