The chief ombudsman is launching a new investigation into claims agencies are frustratingly slow in responding to requests for information.This follows the release of his investigation report Ready or Not? in September, which particularly criticised how agencies respond to requests from journalists.Chief ombudsman Peter Boshier said the Ready or Not? investigation gave him a really good indication of what was happening but now he wanted “to lift the rock” to see what was underneath.He appealed to current and former public servants a...
