CBL Insurance’s actuary PwC is one of several parties being sued by the collapsed insurer’s liquidators in proceedings filed late last year. The case is the latest keeping lawyers busy following the February 2018 collapse of NZX-listed CBL Corporation, which had a market capitalisation of $747 million. The liquidator for local subsidiary CBL Insurance, McGrath Nicol’s Kare Johnstone, filed civil proceedings against PwC, Peter Harris and other directors before Christmas. Johnstone confirmed a statement of claim had been filed but...
