SFO tasked with Christchurch mayor election expenses case

The Serious Fraud Office has picked up another politically sensitive job as it assesses a referral from police into Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel’s electoral expenses.  The case is the latest political investigation for the agency which has this year laid charges against four men in relation to National Party donations, and launched a probe into the NZ First Foundation.  The SFO said it has no further comment at this time.  Dalziel filed her electoral return on Dec. 10 last year, but updated it more than a week later after her husb...
