SFO tasked with Christchurch mayor election expenses case

The Serious Fraud Office has picked up another politically sensitive job as it assesses a referral from police into Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel’s electoral expenses. The case is the latest political investigation for the agency which has this year laid charges against four men in relation to National Party donations, and launched a probe into the NZ First Foundation.
