Meridian Energy threatened court action against the electricity sector regulator as tensions ran high in the initial stages of its review of the market.Correspondence with the Electricity Authority (EA) shows the country’s largest electricity generator took strong exception to the direction being taken as the regulator examined the state of competition in the wholesale market.
