UPDATED: SFO now has two electoral expense cases on the books

(Updates to include second case) The Serious Fraud Office confirmed it would receive two referrals from NZ Police regarding mayoral election expenses. The fraud agency has said it will assess referrals regarding the electoral expenses of Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel and Auckland Mayor Phil Goff.
