There was something pleasing about the latest round of corporate earnings from New Zealand’s biggest and brightest – or at least its most public.Market watchers already had us primed for a pretty good season, predicting small earnings growth across the board, albeit at a slower pace than the breakneck speed firms seemed to bounce out of last year’s covid-19 lockdown.So it was heartening for those of us not glued to the 24-hour pandemic news cycle to see 30-odd NZX-listed companies reporting annual and first-half results to not...
