F&P Healthcare facing $12m bill for product recall

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is to provision $12 million for the voluntary recall of potentially faulty products.The medical devices company told the New Zealand stock exchange (NZX) the $12m would be provisioned for in its financial statements for the year ended March 31 2024.It noted that the cost was not included in the guidance released on March 22 2024.The recall affects approximately 9,000 Airvo 2, and myAirvo 2 devices manufactured before Aug 14 2017, and relates to a speaker configuration issue that may result in inaudible alarms...
