The New Zealand dollar fell 1% as it became clear that Donald Trump was winning the US election, but it managed to stay above support levels, at least for now. It was trading at 59.55 US cents early on Thursday in Wellington, down from 60.20 US cents just ahead of the first results. “Markets sniffed a Trump victory not long after the count began during NZ afternoon trading, driving markets with higher US equity futures, higher US rates and a broadly stronger USD,” BNZ senior markets strategist Jason Wong said.The race was...
