The New Zealand dollar rose in line with US equities futures after a weak start to the day amid further bad news about the spread of covid-19 in major US states. The kiwi was trading at 64.29 US cents at 5pm in Wellington after briefly dipping below 64 cents early in the day from 64.05 cents in New York on Friday. The trade-weighted index was at 71.34 from 71.25 in late domestic trading on Friday.
