The New Zealand dollar was stalled near 64 US cents, with little international news to provide direction ahead of local third-quarter retail sales due later this morning. The kiwi was trading at 64.02 US cents at 8am from 64.19 cents at 5pm. The trade-weighted index was at 70.97 from 71.13.
