NZ dollar weakens; traders bet Australia will fare better

The New Zealand dollar was weaker on speculation the Australian economy will fare better than its kiwi cousin in recovering from the impact of the coronavirus. The kiwi was trading at 59.56 US cents at 5pm in Wellington from 59.85 cents at the same time yesterday and at 94.55 Australian cents from 94.92 cents at 5pm yesterday.
