SkyCity Entertainment has relented under mounting lockdown costs and applied for a covid wage subsidy of $2.6 million for its 2,400 Auckland employees.It comes as its flagship Auckland hotel and casino precinct moves into its eighth week at pandemic alert level three or higher.SkyCity confirmed it applied on Sept 28 for the subsidy covering the period from Sept 17 to Sept 30.
