SkyCity to sue Fletcher Building for conference centre delays, FBU says no breaches

SkyCity Entertainment Group says it will be filing legal proceedings against Fletcher Building and The Fletcher Construction Company for losses due to delays in the completion of the New Zealand International Convention Centre.  SkyCity claims it is entitled to liquidated damages of more than $330 million under the contract with Fletchers.“The NZICC [NZ International Convention Centre] was originally scheduled to take approximately three years to build, and it has now taken almost 10,” SkyCity chief executive Jason Walbridge sa...
