Comvita co-founder Alan Bougen, who last week told BusinessDesk that he is confident he has enough shareholder support to block the proposed takeover by Florenz, owned by billionaire Mark Stewart, has issued a corrective statement.Mānuka honey producer Comvita, established in 1974, has sent out the scheme of arrangement booklet detailing Florenz’s full takeover offer at 80c a share or $56.4 million. Christchurch-based Florenz already owns or has voting agreements with 18.4% of total shares.
