Xero appoints Alex von Schirmeister to head UK, EMEA

Xero said it has appointed Alex von Schirmeister as managing director for Britain and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), replacing Gary Turner who will leave the company at the end of this year after 12 years in the role.Xero said von Schirmeister has more than 25 years of senior leadership experience and has worked in ecommerce, payments, telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods and consultancy and will start at Xero on Dec 1.Von Schirmeister last worked for small business payments technology company SumUp and had previously work...
