Meat sector striving to keep people safe through covid-19

New Zealand’s meat sector is developing a sector-wide protocol to ensure it operates in a manner that doesn’t endanger people’s health and safety, said Meat Industry Association chief executive Tim Ritchie.Ritchie told BusinessDesk it is a privilege to be considered an essential service but also a "significant responsibility." New Zealand will move to a level 4 response at midnight tonight after which all services, except for those deemed essential, will close for at least four weeks.Ritchie said the meat sector has come together to develo...
