Veteran broadcaster John Campbell will leave TVNZ’s Breakfast programme to become the channel’s chief correspondent.Campbell will step down from his role on the morning show this Friday to focus on news, the state-backed broadcaster said.In the newly-created position, Campbell will focus on “stories across TVNZ’s news and current affairs on TV and Digital”, TVNZ said.Campbell will also present 1 News specials throughout the year, “investigating the big issues across Aotearoa”, the channel added.TVNZ&rsq...
