Competition is heating up across the New Zealand airwaves.This week, MediaWorks unveiled the new-look lineup for its revamped talkback radio station, as the company rebrands Magic Talk early next year. Newshub political editor Tova O’Brien and broadcasters Duncan Garner and Rachel Smalley will join the company as it aims to gain ground on its biggest rival in commercial talk radio, the NZME-owned Newstalk ZB.The hires come amid fierce competition for ratings.
