Indevin Group was always looking for a strong brand as part of its long-term strategy, but that wasn’t the only selling point in picking up Villa Maria Estates.The Marlborough-based winemaker is the biggest wine producer in the country but has tended to fly under the radar over the past two decades with its roots in contract winemaking both at home and abroad.The low profile belies its size, with the 2019 Coriolis investor’s guide to New Zealand’s food and beverage industry estimating its annual revenue is between $250 million...
