Suncorp New Zealand has cut a deal with the Earthquake Commission over allocating the costs from the 2010 and 2011 Canterbury quakes.The value of the deal is commercially sensitive, and formalises an agreement reached in October, the companies said in a joint statement.“This is the first agreement of its kind between EQC and a private insurer with respect to the Canterbury earthquakes and is a significant milestone for EQC, Vero and AA Insurance in the Canterbury Earthquake recovery programme,” EQC chief executive Sid Miller said.At...
