By Rebecca Howard April 4 (BusinessDesk) - The New Zealand dollar gained against the US dollar which fell amid worries about escalating US-China trade tension added to fears of a global trade war.  The kiwi traded at 72.84 US cents as at 5pm in Wellington from 72.54 US cents as at 8am in Wellington and 72.26 cents late yesterday.  The trade-weighted index rose to 74.85 from 74.20.
