The New Zealand dollar was capped by signs of improvement in the US economy, mixed signals in Europe and no progress on US-China relations. The kiwi was trading at 64.00 US cents at 8am from 64.07 cents in New York on Friday and 64.03 cents in Wellington last week. The trade-weighted index was at 71.04 from 70.90.
