Stabilising levels of covid-19 infections suggest the country has made a "good start" in the national lockdown to try to top the virus's spread, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said today, talking for the first time about preparations for reopening the economy.“We need to get to half time and perhaps a bit beyond that to see the full gains of the lockdown, but we have made a good start and the decisions that we’ve made to date have made a difference,” Ardern said.
