Labour estimates its capital gains tax will take three years to start paying for the free doctor’s visits it promises, according to documents released on the policy today.In its first year, the free doctors visits and associated policy initiatives would cost $393.3 million, rising to $548m from 2030 onwards.However, the capital gains tax (CGT) on residential property sales from July 1, 2027, would be expected to collect only  $100m in the first year of the GP fees policy operating, rising to $385m in year two and still short of the $...
