Govt names five experts to review biogenic methane targets

The government has appointed Nicola Shadbolt, a former climate change commissioner, to lead an independent panel on methane science and targets.Climate Change Minister Simon Watts said the five-person panel would report back to the government by the end of the year. It would provide evidence-based advice on what New Zealand’s biogenic methane emissions target should be to ensure no additional warming.Shadbolt, currently professor of farm and agribusiness management at Massey University, was made an officer of the NZ Order of Merit in...
