After long delays the government has granted two new oil and gas exploration permits in the onshore Taranaki region.The permits were issued from the Block Offer 2019 round which followed the ban on new exploration permits anywhere except onshore in Taranaki.The Block Offer is a process where bids are made and accepted or declined by the government.
