Fonterra is tipping $75 million into its South Canterbury site to create a hub for its high-value proteins.The expansion of the Studholme site, outside of Waimate, will increase its manufacturing capacity for the proteins used in medical nutrition and high-protein sports products.Work on the site is set to begin next month, with the first product due to come off the line in two years.The co-op expects six new roles at the site to be created as a result of the project.The dairy giant is currently going through a process to divest its consumer bu...
