The government is backing organic-certified medicinal cannabis, tipping it to be as successful as New Zealand’s $2 billion wine export industry.  Agriculture minister Damien O'Connor said the government will contribute $13 million through the Ministry for Primary Industries’ Sustainable Food and Fibre Futures fund, to help Marlborough-based company Puro Ltd fast-track setting up an organic medical cannabis industry in NZ. The project will start this year and run through to 2027.The $32.2m joint project will provide job...
