New Zealand’s meat sector will lobby for a better deal as the country looks to ink a free trade agreement with the UK post Brexit.A resounding win for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party on Dec. 12 sealed the deal for Brexit, with the UK set to leave the European Union on Jan. 31.New Zealand currently has a tariff-free quota of 228,000 tonnes of meat a year that brings in more than $2 billion.
