Forestry company Rayonier is exiting New Zealand after 36 years by selling its 77% stake in a forestry joint venture.New York Stock Exchange-listed Rayonier reached the US$710 million (NZ$1.24 billion) agreement with its joint venture partner, The Rohatyn Group (TRG), to sell the entities holding its stake to a company established by Ents LP, an investment fund managed by TRG.The deal values the NZ joint venture at US$922m and includes the management of about 116,145ha of forestry land.Pursuing US opportunitiesRayonier said it was exiting NZ to...
