The Government says its move to create no-go zones for seabed mining where they conflict with offshore windfarms will not prevent the Trans-Tasman Resources application from going ahead.On Wednesday, Energy Minister Simon Watts said Cabinet had agreed to amend the Offshore Renewable Energy Bill, introduced last year, to create more explicit rules for how seabed space is allocated.Under the amendments, the Government will be able to designate specific marine zones where offshore renewable projects can be developed.While those areas are being est...
