New Zealand’s success in managing the covid-19 crisis has presented an opportunity for the country to “own the narrative” surrounding trusted food, said KPMG NZ head of agribusiness Ian Proudfoot.  Speaking to the epidemic response committee today, Proudfoot said he would like to see the capability that exists within Tourism NZ “redeployed” to tell the country’s food story to global markets.  “This would keep our country in the minds of potential visitors who are also likely consumers of our food and fibre products,” he said.
